Team Alpha advanced to the semifinals for the third time in their team history after beating Team Titans, 102-82 at the conclusion of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 men’s division quarterfinals on Saturday, September 7 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.

Alpha’s Jap Puente broke the all-time record for the most points in a game, after dropping 60 points. He had held this record with 45 points, but was erased by a 52-point game by Mille’s Dave Yokoi last August 10.

Alex Tagle had a double-double output of 19 points and 12 assists. Tagle is 10 points away for being the first player from Alpha to become a member of ABT’s 500 points club.

Jaime Juadines of Titans scored 25 points with 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Carl Villareal and Will Dubduban contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.
