Ringor still leads in MVP race

Norman Ringor of Team Bumblebees still leads the Most Valuable Player race in the 2015 APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) 2nd Conference, getting the highest statistical points at the conclusion of the elimination round.
Ringor, who averages 16.5 points and 18 rebounds per game leads all players with 43 average statistical points (SP) a game. His teammate Brix Estabillo, who averages 18.83 ppg, 8 rpg, and 3.83 assists per game, is at second place with 38.83 SPs per game.
Team Warriors’ Pepe Canseco goes in third place with 33.583 SPs.

 Statistical points are computed as follows:
  • 1 SP for every point scored, rebound, assist, steal and shot blocked.
  • Deduction of 1 SP for every turnover, 5 SP for every technical or flagrant foul without ejection, and 15 SP for any technical or flagrant foul that results in an ejection.
  • Additional 10 SP will be added for every game won wherein the player saw action
  • Additional 15 SP will be added for every playoff game won wherein the player saw action
  • Total SPs will then be divided for the total number of games the player saw action
  • For forfeited games, the individual statistical points that the winning team will receive from this game will be based on their averages per game pre- or post-defaulting game, plus an additional 10 statistical points for the game won. The defaulting team will receive 0.00 statistical points.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) will be determined at the conclusion of the tournament with the following criteria:
  • 60% Average statistical points
  • 40% AABT Committee votes
